Welcome to Writing as Meditation


Meditation is a great tool. It allows for introspection, relaxation and mindful connectedness. Adding writing to your meditation practice has many benefits- sometimes it helps us purge worrisome thoughts or attitudes, it can be a liberation for emotions, and it allows us the choice to either revisit the work later or release it peacefully.

Writing as Meditation begins a process of personal change. We become more aware of our inner world of meaning, and as we write, we begin to process of our ideas, thoughts, feelings and emotions. By channeling our energies from something psychological to something tangible, we physically write the energies down in a way that helps to reveal our inner message. Through this practice we gain a sense of power and purpose.

As we complete a piece of writing we have a stronger sense of ourselves. We are a part of the transformation and by the end of the process we have changed into someone new from the practice of introspection. During your practice you will increase self-awareness and watch yourself grow and change. Over time, your Writing as Meditation practice leads to you own personal development and well-being.
